Monthly PSC Report For June 2012

The following information have been gathered mainly from PSC MoUs sites and may serve only as reference for the inspections being carried out each month by each MoU. The consistency of the information may differ between MoU since there are slight differences on the way each organization presents the inspection info. Moreover, depending on the organization and the date this post is being published there might not be enough statistical data for the month under review. Caribbean MoU

NKK Noted Detainable Deficiencies

This month the summary of detainable deficiencies noted in PSC inspection reports of NK-SMC ships presents the following findings:

  1. Maintenance of the ship and equipment (9 cases) : SMS fails to satisfy the requirements of the ISM Code, SMS documents can’t be effectively carried out
  2. Ventilation (5 cases) : E/R ventilator not closing properly, E/R Skylight kept in open position
  3. Fire dampers (4 cases) : E/R Fire damper defective & seized, Quick closing valves blocked by inserting nut/bolt
