The world’s premier event in the maritime industry is being hosted for the first time at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens. The exhibition started yesterday and will last until Friday 08 June.
Mr. Panagiotis Pikramenos Greece Prime Minister attended the official opening ceremony of the exhibition. Government officials, foreign diplomats as well as representatives of maritime organizations were also present.
It is estimated that approximately 1,870 exhibitors from 87 countries and 17,000 visitors will visit the exhibition.
Apart from the main exhibition,the programme includes conferences as well as other events and parties.
In total 21 states from Africa, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia are participating as exhibitors.
