A Mongolian Flagged cargo ship sank off the southern coast of South Korea earlier today leaving 11 crewmembers missing.
Sixteen sailors were on board the sunken vessel, three of which were rescued by South Korean Coast Guard and unfortunately two sailors have been confirmed dead. The vessel had departed from north Korea and was heading to China carrying a cargo of steel.
Three of the crew have been rescued, South Korean officials said. A search was under way for the remaining 11 crew members.
Up until now it is unclear on what caused the cargo ship to sink.
